It's an aeroplane!

Took this one today for the month contest. Used the filmic module on this one and really brought the white out with it.

My son was in Ireland a couple years ago and gave this to us as a gift. I just noticed it has a '21' in it, so here is my "shot" at the contest.

I'm probably in the wrong section! (365). Not going to be able to post every day! This is a statue on our mantle up close with the macro lens. Don't mess with him.

I love blue sky.. One more simple one with the D7100. camera jpeg, and then darktable. The lens is a sigma 17-50mm hsm, so I also get len correction in the workflow which I don't in a nikon camera jpeg.

First attempt is with my D7100. I had it on dot metering for camera jpeg and it over exposed the scene in bright sun. First photo is the camera jpeg. The second is processing of the raw file. And then some darktable

I am a newbie to raw photo processing, and I am going to try and learn how to use an open source program called "Darktable". My desktop runs Fedora linux.

@Needa. You are a D7100 shooter. What are you using for the base curve module? I cleared out all my styles too. I think it's setting to alternate nikon now, but I also saw somewhere in there that there's a D7200 curve available. I know they are the same toshiba sensor, so was thinking of...

Been a jpeg shooter since getting into the dslr world and only messed with tweaks and edits here and there. My D7100 is not a good camera for shooting raw because of the buffer. I have messed now with some raw files and been able to get basic profiles set up so they can look as good or better...

Entry #1. It's a Christmas ornament that I am trying to get some color out of. It's pretty much white in normal light. Also of note, my new 105mm micro nikkor. Heck, we need one for the season..

This guy (a young Cooper's hawk) was in my backyard long enough to let me fire off 150 shots. He totally filled the frame at 600mm.

This one I saved as a PNG file so no exif data, but it's a more processed version of the previous photo.. Basically messing with changing the color.

I did this one last april.. wow, I should explore more.. I didn't know there was a moon photo thread.

Went biking today and the ducks were practically posing for me.
