These lions were with a buffalo kill when the hyenas started appearing.
They soon got tired of them getting too close and this scene unfolded in a few seconds.
I decided to exclude the most graphic pictures of the hyena ripping the lions jaw.
Its on my site in the gallery if you want to see it...
Largest of the African Eagles captures a wart hog.
I dont shoot alot of birds but couldnt resist this one as it posed for me, the light was nice and was close. I only wish I had my f4 lens to blur more of the background

Hi all, I have a few questions for Z9 users before I buy.
I shoot a lot of wildlife I know the Z9 tracking is supposed to be good. Lets say I have a situation with 3 lions in the frame All moving around, crossing paths etc. I want to track one and not have the camera bouncing between them even...
Topi (Coke Hartebeest) are often thought of as the Guardians of the herd. They are normally the ones to warn the buffalo, zebra and wildebeest of predators. They also tend to be quite brave and take a stance on old ant hills to get a better view of the area.

Interesting watching all the interaction, I liked the way the cubs wet fur rendered. The group went away and came back after a while, a third cub was dead, possibly it drowned or was weak. Im not sure.

These bucks spend most of their time in wet swampland, their hooves are specially designed not to rot in the water and their fur has an oil that makes it water resistant. The oils also have a bad taste making it less appealing to predators. I've not seen many or any lion kills with them
