    Post your flower pics

Once more with Nikon View X2 Color booster & sharpened to 4, although the first pass in the Nikon Capture I used Landscape Mode which added some sharpening & color I think. Right now with the D5500, Capture is the only way I have to manipulate the RAW. I'm planning to get the Lr6 free trial...

    Post your flower pics

Same photo once cropped as 8"x10" and then again cropped tighter. The subtle gradations of color are just so appealing to me.

    Who's Rockin a D5500 - Post an Image

Just got home from Costco and was so eager to try this out. I think I love it. It takes care of two of the problems I dislike most about my other two Nikons: D3300 (menu diving) and D7000 (size). As to IQ? Well with this one sample I think I have a keeper. This was a rushed shot because I wanted...

    Time for a new computer

@skene "However if you can swing it, I would much rather suggest going mac for any image processing as you have less to bog down the system. While I prefer using a Windows based PC/Laptop, the junk that is carried with Windows does not make it an optimal performer for image/video...

I only intend to do light editing viz. removing power lines, image enhancement. I do take a lot of photos for practice because I'm still trying to learn as...

I'm breaking all the rules here. Photos were taken on Feb. 28th and posted after closing AND I uploaded two photos! Just doing this for fun since bird silhouettes seem to be popular and Marilynne also posted a Redwing no less!

Used Excellent+ Nikon 70-300mm VRII bargain?

A local camera store has this for sale for $345. I'm a sucker for a bargain. Also might be suffering with a slight case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome?) NikonUSA has this new for $589 (same ballpark at Amazon) and refurbished for $299. I know a lot of people advise to not fear the...
