This happens all the time. I get a shot and take several pics using high continuous. The first shot is correctly exposed, but the second is noticeably more exposed. I have not moved the camera or focus point. The bird has not moved, nor the light shifted. The two below are one second apart and...
In the past, as far as I ever noticed, the ISO remained constant, matching my non-auto setting (generally 100) when shooting with the flash. Today when shooting some macros, the iso is jumping up to 800 at f32 using manual flash/full power. I looked in the manual and didn't see anything...
Two images taken in a burst, both simply cropped, resized, and compressed for posting. Both display the same exif data, but look noticeably different in exposure. I have noticed a number of times. I didn't move, the squirrel didn't move, and the light was constant. What gives?
Just unpacked my new 5300. On the 5200, you could scroll though what data was overlayed on an image review using the up/down on the navigation disk. This seems to have been removed, but I am damned if I can find out how it is now controlled. Any hints?
I have been trying auto ISO (set to 800), as I have been shooting in sun/shade/sorta sun/sorta shade conditions lately. I have found very odd results and am loosing a lot of pictures. Here is an example from today. Very bright sun; Tamron 150-600 at 600mm, 1/125, f7.1 -- and the ISO pushes to...
Nasa has released a Hubble pano of the Andromica galaxy -- 7,398 images with a finished size of 1.5 billion pixels (69, 536 x 22, 230) totaling 4.3 GB. Here is their thumbnail
Well, my body is a few days past 1 year old and I just checked the shutter count -- 68,675. Think I should start saving up my pennies for a replacement?
Since I forgot to start a thread last year until it was too late and then posted every day, I thought I'd better do this now.
Don't say I didn't warn you -- besides, my camera will probably stop working in the morning.
Figured they deserve a thread of their own
Spotted a hawk on the college lamp post as I was driving by. I had to do some fancy lane changing, but it waited patiently
Worked fine last night; today, when I click on the image icon, the entire page goes gray and I can't do anything, but cancel out. No hidden or blocked pop-ups.
If you add an image to a post with quote and attempt to size it, the whole thing goes gray and you have to do a hard refresh to get back, which loses everything written. No big deal, if you just typed a few words; a real pain, if its a paragraph or two.
I take it this was turned on this morning, as I just got one for the first time. I really don't want them (I'm on the site all day long, so always see the red notice) and hope you will add an exclude option to settings. At 100+ emails a day, I don't need to see things I already know.
Today marks my one year anniversary here and this, my 3,000 post. It seems an appropriate moment to thank you all for enduring and even encouraging my compulsive addiction to making pictures. You have allowed me a warm and welcoming place to share what my eye happens upon and I manage to...
Is not working again. I have uploaded numerous pictures in the last week and none now show. I got the Page Not Found message as usual, but had ignored it, as pictures were previously loaded anyway. Now they have just disappeared entirely. The last upload image showing is from the 27th of last...
I haven't looked at that tab in months, but did today and noticed this from yesterday:

Was I a bad boy somehow? Don't care about the points (never figured out what they...
I have to log in each time, even though Remember Me is selected. As always, I have cleared cache, history, and made sure there were no page blocking rules set.
