    Iso 5000

I decided to try out my D7200 with ISO 5000. No flash was used since I wanted to see how the noise would look. I'm definitely much happier with the sensor in this body compared with the sensor of the D7100. There was very little editing done to this image.

    Online Storage

I'm looking into some type of online storage for my photos and was all set to go with Back Blaze until I read one thing. My whole point of an online storage is the option of storing files that I want to delete from my computer. I realize Back Blaze is a backup of a computer, but what options...

    Which remote cord?

Yesterday I stopped into Allen's Camera asking if they carry the ShutterBoss cord. Surprisingly I was told Vello is exclusive to B&H the same way Impact branded items are. I thought Vello was its own brand. Coincidentally they had this exact cord that they took in on a trade. They also said...

    Which remote cord?

I am looking to get either the Nikon MC-DC2 Remote Release Cord or the Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Nikon with DC2 Connection for my bodies (all of which take this type of connection). Does anyone have experience with either--such as what's good or not good about them? I know the...

Post your favorite June shot 2018

Can't decide between these two. The first one was panned with camera to get the blurred background while the second was blurred in post. There is a slightly different look between the blur. The first one took some practice (and missed shots) before I got into the rhythm of syncing my panning...

    Slow - slow - slow

@jdeg the shout box isn't displaying properly at all. It's huge and it runs into the top of the threads below it. Thanks for working on it though. :)

    Post your latest purchases.

I've watched a few Scott Kelby videos where he uses a Platypod Ultra paired with an Oben ball head and finally decided to get one. I can think of several places where I can use this for architecture. Although I'm not an Arca Swiss fan, I know the head can't be too tall or it will make the mount...

AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Bokeh Rings

I did a little more digging. Initially when I read up on the lens comparing the PF with my 300mm f/4D AF-S, I remember reading something about the previous version being a little better than the PF with one particular feature. I thought it had to do with bokeh, but since it was last year, I...

AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Bokeh Rings

I don't think it's coming from the body--pretty sure it's from the lens. If you remove the lens from your body and look through the rear element, press the lever to make the blades stop down (if you can do that). What you should be able to see is the shape the aperture blades make when the lens...

    Post your Photographing the photographer.

This one is cross-posted in my thread. We need a thread titled, Post your Photographing the Photographer who is Photographing the Photographer. ;)

    Hark 2018

Just a few of the ones I shot this afternoon. I started out with my 300mm and 1.4x teleconverter mounted on my D7200. Since there was an event going on that I didn't know about ahead of time, I hadn't realized how busy it would be at the town's docks. So I switched to my zoom, but even at its...

    Hark 2018

Here's another boat on the Delaware River. This image was shot with a fast shutter speed then I blurred the background following a Phlearn video. It definitely takes longer adding the blur in post, but it allows me to control exactly the amount of blur I want. If you compare this image with the...

    Updating Adobe CC

Yes, as Charlie said. Here are the programs as they are listed in my Start menu. Looks like I didn't install one of the Lightroom versions, but I don't use it anyway. I prefer accessing Camera RAW through PCC. Camera RAW has the same tools as Lightroom but doesn't have the cataloging feature...

This one is out of order. Since I was working on a PCC brush issue today, I did a quick edit on this one.

    How to adjust PCC brush

While watching a Phlearn tutorial just now, he is using a brush that displays the inner circle. I know how to set/adjust this in ACR but am not able to find how to set it in PCC. How would I go about changing the display of my brush to include that inside circle? Looking for info online...

    Hark 2018

Here is another one from yesterday's outing. Two jet skiers having fun on the Delaware River. I definitely prefer the background of the panned shots for some reason. They seem to be more pleasing to view.

    Hark 2018

Went back out today to work more on speed. Most of what I did today was with a fast shutter speed. The flag says No Shoes Nation.

    Hark 2018

Today I went to the Bristol Waterfront Park in hopes of catching some speed for this month's contest. :encouragement: First I came across this photographer taking long exposures. In his left hand is a cabled remote. We chatted for a few minutes--he's from Philly and likes to go to the river...
