Just doing my part.

I think someone partied a little to hard on a recent flight and really messed up the seats. I think it was @jdeg so glad he is getting it repaired. I have been using the smaller jet and it is still in good shape but only has seating for 12. The big one is much nicer and has the private bed...

Just got this email. Funny, I did not know I had a international contract won /inheritance compensation identification number. Guess I had better hurry and email his back so I can get my money. Should I go ahead and write them a check now to cover their expenses? International Criminal...

Thought I would consolidate all the Service Advisories for all the Nikon gear on one page. For reference of all cameras. We can still post the individual one on the specific camera section.Service Advisories https://www.nikonusa.com/en/service-and-support/service-advisories/index.page

And I really liked this on. One of the employees had graduated and was asking for a letter of recommendation but instead of just asking he drew a comic strip with many of us in it. To set it up just a little. Mike was the head producer of the station and he was a little short of which we kidded...

I worked as a TV engineer at The University of Alabama back in the 70's Today I got notice that Simone had former a Facebook group dedicate to the past employees. I joined and found it was full of photos of a lot of us. Thought I would share a few of me from the decade of the 70's...

OK, This is a straight NEF with no corrections. Converted to JPEG with the following settings And here is the results

I think @BackdoorHippie hit the nail on the head about the "like" button. That is the way I look at clicking on it. I have a local friend that I respect as a photographer and he has been a great friend and mentor to me. Early on we were sitting around at his house talking photography and I had...

I have someone asking me about a camera to shoot in a club. She wants it to be good in low light and will need a fast shutter speed and she want it for under $500. After I stopped laughing I told her I would check around to see what is available. I am thinking whatever it is first off no zoom...

I was hanging out with my mentor while he was shooting and told him what I was doing and he about had a heart attack. He shoots a high end Canon. I sent him a copy of the 12,800 photo this evening and shut him up pretty fast. He never shoots over 800. He is hoping the canon that is coming out...

Shot some with it this evening. Really great results outside. Here is one shot in the back yard of a house I was working at this evening. No distortion correction other than the default that Lightroom does in its lens profiles. I jsut made sure the camera was level in both directions using the...

Finally got some time to go play with my camera today. Was just hanging out with a friend while he was shooting a home for a reality company. I had my camera and after he finished the inside we went out and shot a few and then waited for the blue hour to shoot a few more. I decided I would put...

Here is what DxO Viewpoint can do. Remember this shot? Here is is after correcting it with Viewpoint. Took about a minute to do the correction

One more thing to add. Here is one of the shots and then a 100% crop from it.

Went out this afternoon for a short walk around downtown just to push this new lens a little. There is only the correction automatically put in by Lightroom and a couple that I leveled the horizon a little. I wanted to see and show just what the lens could do with careful shooting. Overall I am...

Not much on themed photo threads. I just don't have that kind of patience so I have decided to just post what I think is the best of last weeks shooting. Week 1 Here is one I shot last week on a cold and rainy day. We were just shooting waterfalls and happened to be there when this guy went over...
