@weebee FYI I found the problem. It is the cable. When I bought my set it came in a set of 4 with 2 cables. I switched cables and it works fine. With the faulty cable attached the responders are talking to each other as determined by one of each having a red light go on when pressed - it's just...

Here are a few more - have taken the extra sharpening on export out.

I had a bit of fun at the zoo today and am really starting to enjoy and appreciate "The Beast" And this is my favourite for the day. Although I clearly missed the shot what makes it for me is the fact that he is heading away from me.

Done that - didn't work @weebee do you have the RF-603N, RF-603 IN or the RF-603 IIN?

My first ever attempt at photo stacking. 6 shots handheld. I must go back and get the one leg that protrudes forward in sharp focus but other than that I am pretty happy with this novice effort. As always - it looks better in full size.

Does anyone use this combination? I cannot get mine to trigger the shutter and cannot for the life of me work out why not. I had it working on my D5100 perfectly ... today after struggling with different menu settings etc. on the D7100 I finally decided to try it on my D5100 again and now that...

Or a more obvious version using the frayed edges to blend in with the horse's tail?

This month's club competition is "texture" and I wanted to do something a bit different. I liked the idea of denim and particularly faded and ripped. Plus I had been to a rodeo recently and thought of this idea. What do you think? Too OTT or does it tell a story about the denim? Too quiche...

Having processed these photos I thought I would show some samples. The ones i give to them will not have my watermark on - not sure if that was a good decision or not. I guess maybe not from a marketing point of view but they can get hold of me if they really want to. The first shot is the...

I have to agree with your there @Daz My photos in Jpeg (and RAW) were essentially ok but all improved greatly even with basic processing - such as a crop. I'm embarrassed to admit that some needed straightening too - especially the ones at the end of the 4 hour shoot. :) I must have been...

Or I have become a lazy photographer ... I shot Raw and Jpeg yesterday for a charitable organisation. The idea was I would simply transfer the Jpegs to a memory stick and hand it over but shot Raw as well ... just in case. Turns out I am either useless or too fussy but I just could not hand...

That is such a cool shot @wornish. I am jealous

An extraordinary story which will truly amaze you (if you are human that is) and certainly make you think twice about struggling with your settings.

Anyone able to help with info on the suitability of this lens with the D7100? I did a search (promise) but couldn't find anything.

I think I am making slow progress ... Just a pity about the reflection of the morning sun.

My neighbour is a part time photography tutor and invited me along to the zoo with his class today. Had a great time and took over 300 shots - getting used to the D7100 Still not mastered the noise on the 70-300 but I am getting there. I just loved these two shots despite the noise.

Righto - after much debate (see this post) and experimenting with focal points and focal modes I shot a whole heap of photos in very confusing light. I thought I would post some of the pics to indicate exactly what I was asking of the camera. They were all very noisy when they came out of camera...
