Keep in mind that a 55-300 will not give you anything in the wide angle area. The D7500 has a crop frame sensor and a common "normal" zoom that goes from moderate wide angle to short telephoto is usually in the 18-55mm range. Yes, they make wide angle to much longer telephoto lenses, such as the...

You're right. I was thinking about the other settings like SS, focus mode ect.

Where I grew up in central Florida, that would just be planted in the backyard and forgotten about, until time to harvest some fruit each year.

Given current state of the technology, and infrastructure, I don't believe an EV is for anyone wanting to take a substantial trip with said vehicle. Also, a small generator with electrical hookups and a gallon of tru-fuel would be a must. Especially in colder climates.

If I understand, you want to U1 to be the same as it is, except being manual vs aperture preferred. To do that just put it in U1, change from A to M and then go into the menu and save current setting to U1.

Our local nature photo club is a sea of gray hair.

I miss the days (only about 5 years ago, actually) when a dead battery was no real problem. Just turn the key on, put it in neutral, give it a bit of a push, hop in and dump the clutch after putting it in gear. I remember driving my VW bug for a week or more with the starter sitting in my...

Welcome. I too started with film and took a decades long break from photography, only to get interested again when my daughter got the bug. I'm not much for street photography, but recently got interested in long exposures. I mostly do that for moving water, but have experimented with a few...

I set up one of my User defined modes for birds in flight on my Two Z cameras. I can be ready for a bird in flight in seconds. You only have to remember which of the three is set for BIF, and then turn the dial to it.

Sorry, had the copyright box checked in LR. Info added.

Well, I edited the rest of the images on my "to edit" list today and there were a couple better than I thought originally.

Tried the Boneyard beach again today. Wasn't really much impressed with anything I got. While trying to get a shot of a tree in the water, I noticed a pod of dolphins feeding close to shore. They were really putting on a show. I had trouble shifting to my long lens, as I didn't want to put my...

That's one way of getting rid of an invasive species.

My nature photography club had an outing to a local raptor rescue facility last month. We spent several hours photographing a variety of different birds of prey, and were able to get shots I would never be able to get in the wild. I make no apologies for shooting like this as long as I don't try...

I was looking through the images I took at the Center for Birds of Prey this morning, in case I missed something. I thought I'd edit this one. I probably didn't edit it earlier because the bird was landing on a rather unsightly portable perch. I thought I'd use the new remove tool in PS to...

You can edit a post, and delete the offending image, then upload the one you want to replace it with.

Another great "mood" image. I really like the layers of diffusion and tones. We don't get fog in my area that often.

Don't sell that image short. It has a lot going for it. The major component being mood. And don't forget, it is very difficult to have a good image of a bird from behind. There were some excellent entries by all.

Congratulations Peter.
