You can have a crop-frame mirrorless also if you prefer that (Z50 or Z50II). Personally I cannot recommend picking up any F-mount cameras unless you have a specific need for an optical viewfinder. The support from Nikon is ending and all the improvements in features that have gone into 7 years...

I would wager the K&F battery will be fine until it is tried out at some future time in a Z50III. That appears to be the pattern. Then the aftermarket makers clone a new controller chip, and that works until the next new camera....

Nikon has a rather picky algorithm for communicating with the controller chip on the battery pack for Z series. I have only had that message with the non-OEM cells I had been using without problems on my D750-D7000-D600 bodies. I still use them the in a D600. I suspect there is a flakey...
