A purplish weed growing in the waterless riverbed, and I don't know what the flower is growing on the tree. Took these with my D60 and 18-55 kit lens.

I am only starting to get good shots of the moon now, but I find my best ones are hand held. here is my settings, f/5.6 iso 200 1/80 at 300mm, then cropped. I never had much success with the tripod.

another 4 taken with the 35mm lens, quite impressed with this lens, the last one was taken after 8pm and no flash, going to be using this a lot more
