i seem to have more success hand held than tripod Mike, which is strange, i tried this one through some reddish clouds to see what would happen.

Day 6, ONLY 359 to go:D The moon always comes in handy for a daily shot, and the sunset

lake is well down over the last few weeks lots of snowy egrets and night herons in these tree's

is this a Blue or Tricolor Heron??

i know the second one is the Snowy Egret

Day 5 (360 to go) need some help identifying these, thinking kingfisher, falcon and osprey

these were taking along the I40, probably half way from Barstow/Arizona State line. if this is any better the train is still coming from the hills on the left.

that's Big Bear Don, i tried to catch the light on it as the sun was setting, didn't do to good. trying to work out how my d60 works, only ever used it in auto mode, so learning it, wish i had done this years ago.

dont know if you are able to see this, i took it while driving with my D60 in my point and shoot days, but the longest train i have seen, just found this on a card today

Day 4 (361 to go) i took my D60 out for a spin today, i had put on the 18-105mm with the intention of getting a few landscapes tomorrow at lake skinner, for anyone wanting to shoot hawks this is a great way to see them, they where everywhere tonight and my 300mm lens was at home :rolleyes...

Ok, i will give this a real hard try. Day 1 2014. a few shots of a humming bird at my neighbors bottle brush tree, third one is the best.

day 1 2014, i am keeping the same thread, dont think i will be able to do a post a day, but will give it a shot sat in the front yard watching the neighbors bootle brush tree, i could hear him but couldn't see him, he finally showed up.
