3rd April 2016 the Shrike has a band on its leg, took a run out to San J to see if i could find the American Golden Plover that has been hanging around there, spotted it in the Binoculars but it was on the far side of the pond and i didnt get a shot, try again wed or thur.

the group left and i stayed behind to get the male purple finch, chased it back and forward between to bushes, after about 20 mins

another female purple finch, i spotted the male but could never get a shot.

i asked what the House Finch looking bird was and they all got excited, turns out it was a female purple finch, apparently the male has the purple?
