a western toad, the shadow is of a tripod leg to give you a size. I saw a Tree frog (there where no trees about) was ready to snap it and the guide tried to lift it but it got away.

this is Mystic lake at San Jacinto, it only appears after rain and we had a lot this year, we got permission to drive down to it, the cottontail bounced through the long grass and sat under the car for shade.

first bullfrog ever.

tree swallows had big numbers also, i hope they eat all the mosquito's.

a redwing and a tricolor blackbird, there were 1000's of them here today, you coud hear them a mile away.

a yellow headed blackbird, new bird for me.
