Had a small visitor today. I discovered him looking at the picture of an orb weaver spider on the wall. Grabbed my camera and I shot him. They are curious creatures. They are also not very scared of humans.

Don't know what the club dues are for the photo club are, but this club is fairly reasonable. $75 a year for a family membership. I've had experience with another hobby club. It was a great learning experience, but escalating dues and other costs priced me out of the market at the time.

I prefer the last one. The angled head of the heron, and flat on of the fish works better for me.

Yes, I tend to lean toward the first one as well. There are elements of the others that I am drawn to, but it's a matter of trade offs to get some of those elements.

You're right, it is a black vulture. I wasn't really thinking about the difference between the two when I posted. Both are common sights around here. These were taken at the Birds of Prey Center. I'm not that good at stalking wildlife.
