week 40

seen plenty of yellow rumps, 1 black throated gray, a few orange crowned and a few common yellow throats. Still a shortage of ducks at San Jacinto yet, coots mallards and ruddys is all i saw.

i think this was the same female vermilion, although i did see two males.

just got close enough when he got chased by the mrs.

dragonfly for breakfast

no idea, but distinctive face marking to look up?

8th Oct 2017 loggerhead shrike

the were a lot of shore birds on the river last week, opposite side from me, so i thought i would check it out after walking around the slough, this was the only shot i took, high tide and no shore. lol
