    View Finder Dirt ??

This morning I was out with the dog and the camera. I started to set the CPL for the direction that I would most likely be shooting and noticed some black specks in the view finder. After getting back to the house, I did a little detective work and tried to clean. Lens looked ok, removed it...

Various Crops can make a difference---

Sorry I haven't responded to this thread, but I haven't had much internet access for a week or so. Just catching up now. Personally, I like the original shot because I wanted to focus on the source of the water filling up the road in the foreground. Then I started cropping and couldn't make...

    CWGRIZZ Playing Around--Trying to learn

This is another part of Agua Caliente Park. I thought it might work for the "Reflection" theme on the 53 in 365 until I found the photos I posted. Ha!

    CWGRIZZ Playing Around--Trying to learn

This is an old Mesquite Tree at Agua Caliente Park. It is the location of an old ranch and health resort. The tree is estimated to be 200-300 years old. I had figured it might work for the "Bark" theme.

    CWGRIZZ Playing Around--Trying to learn

Last Sunday I went out looking for some shots for my 52 in 365 challenge. The next bunch are rejects. Ha! Originally thought this one might work for the Chairs/Benches theme. Just a couple of Old Love Birds, I guess. Ha!

Week #7 Theme Neglected Over the past who knows how long, I have taken numerous pictures of this old barn, but can't seem to get anything that I really like. Yesterday evening, I tried again. Still not real excited about the results, but I think it will work for this weeks theme...

Week #5 Theme Leaves On a little outing today and found some leaves that had collected along a running creek (In AZ, really) after 1 1/2" of rain in one day. Not much rain for some of you, but in SE AZ that's quite a bit for one day. Ha! When doing some PP I noticed the white spots/specks...

    Rocket Blower

I have seen Rocket Blowers recommended here in various threads. Those of you who own or have used the Rocket Blower for dust removal for lenses, what is their advantage over other bulb type blowers? Is it just the legs that you can stand it up on? The reason I ask is that I own a bulb blower...

Weekly Challenge Jan-14th -Jan-21st: Topic: Natural Framing

With only about 1 1/2 hours to spare, I found something that may work for this challenge. I saw a baseball under a row of pine trees. I looked through the branches and this is what I saw.

Week #3 Theme Gates The third week of the year is almost over. I ended without my list and not much internet access, so my list of themes wasn't available. All I could remember was "Arches" because many were posting pictures of them. I began looking for some arches to photograph. I found a...

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

@Eyelight, don't have anything so someone else is welcome to post one. As to the Osage, we cut the tree/bush for fence posts, but..... Don't let them season before using them. They would get harder than woodpecker lips when aged and a fence steeple could not be driven into them. Great long...

    Pets/"Petography" Thread!

Took our usual walk to get the mail, however the mail lady was running late. Instead of walking back and returning again we decided to wait. Charlie felt it was a good time to relax. There is an invisible boundary in line with the gate and fence, he knows not to cross, so he laid down at his...
