Yesterday, on my daily walk, a very small bit of color caught my eye. It was some very small feathers laying in the sand that probably came from an unlucky Meadowlark. Their brilliance in the drab desert just popped out. I had to try to capture the delicate brightness.

A couple of shots of a Western Meadowlark (I really am not sure if it is Western or Eastern, but it is in the west. Ha!) Merlin is not real clear on the difference of Western or Eastern, at least for me. Ha! Is this my best side? Or is this my best side?
