Some shops have found a new use,many years ago this was a cinema,then various supermarkets.

Reminds me of when nearly all shops had a delivery bike.

Freeman street market marks the point the council have got to,bellow this has had the regeneration started.

Back and front views of what was a small shopping precinct.

This is Freeman street once the premier shopping area in the town,today the pictures are from the top half,the bottom half is undergoing a regeneration attempt by the council.

After the multi story flats they started building these,a great improvement i dont think.

The old Tower cinema,we had a lot of cinemas but this was the only one with two seater seats at the back,i have fond memories of this one:D

The old Salvation army barracks,not meant as an insult as they do a great job but as kids we used to say they where always 11pence short of a shilling (there where 12 pence in a shilling) as they where always collecting.

Central Hall,used to be where stage productions especially the Christmas pantomime where held.
