    Just been having a quick go with the V2 and Sigma,its was on a tripod and Gimble head, not stable enough for slow shutter speeds with a 600mm lens giving a FOV = to 1620mm @ 1/60th,although in another thread i had been told never use VR on a tripod:D just occasionally i know what ime talking...

    @helen The reason i wondered if it could be a contact problem is have you ever had your TV remote stop working and solved it just by rotating the battery's in it.
