Welcome to the forum,first thing is you need a sensor clean,this is 25% of the image with levels adjusted to make it clear what your talking about,are you sure it went away and it wasn't just you taking different subjects,i know nothing about the D3 sensor so i will just put this on for others...

The only real challenge i have is capturing the image,like @Roy1961 mine are impulse shots that i see as i walk round, not very often planned,so i guess it would be catching Swallows in flight,i spent a lot of time getting topside of this but did it in the end.

Nice set of images,if you hit enter twice after each image upload you will get a space between your images,hope you dont mind but i have done it on these as they deserve the spaced presentation,also if you double click each image a dialogue box will open allowing you to choose the size,i used...
