I was out before sunrise this morning and was surprised to see this. Sunrise was supposed to be at 7:05am. This was taken at 7am so no visible sun at the time - although the sun rose from below that spot. What would cause this pillar of light? :confused:

As I mentioned in my post, the model names are hyperlinked to Nikon's web site. THEY call the D850 a Professional FX body. If you want to split hairs over semantics, do it with them. I just wanted the OP to have the correct information.

This was taken after a small snow storm. Robins seem to come back to the area much sooner than they did when I was young. Sometimes they show up as early as before New Year's Day.

Turkey vulture taken at the same time as the previous seagull. I don't think I've ever captured birds previously when their wings were so close to being vertical. So it was surprising to end up with 2 different birds taken during the same outing.
