It's running around a thousand bucks at Nikon store and B&H, probably most outlets will be selling it for around this price. They also have the Z7II and the D850 on sale. The Z5 can be had with the 24-200 for around $1700.

Since your grandfather took it, I would consider it a family photo.

Thought I'd try this one in B&W. I think the color is better. Didn't get the tonal gradations I was quite looking for, but it does have a certain look.

Good job. I would recommend bracketing the shot. Since you are set up on a tripod and the subject won't be flying away, why not just put your Z5 in auto bracket and take a series. You might find that a different setting gives you different results. I would even try an HDR merge to see what happens.

Looking at a few lenses, they are higher than Nikon Store's new prices. The 105mm micro for F mount is $1350 from HSN. It is no longer available new from Nikon, but I bought a refurb from the Nikon Store last year for $600. The Z 24-70 F4 is a couple hundred less on HSN. I suppose it might be...
