Frustration with Nikon Imaging Cloud software

I just use a multi slot card reader for all my gear. Don't have WiFi on any of my cameras and never had any problems.

    Stay or Go, Lens Wise.

All good advice above. I'm not a Z shooter but do some street work and can only add keep the 40 and get yourself somthing in the 28 - 85 range zoom. Lens speed isn't everything, getting that shot is.

    Nikon Lens Repair Shop?

Hi, all depends on how much you require and what you use the lens for. I purchased the same lens earlier this year for £30 on ebay with a known focus fault that is common on this particular lens ( crack in ribbon). I acquired it specifically for snap shots on holiday and it did a very good job...

    Telescope to attach Z7 to

This was taken with my cheapo 400 - 800 zoom at 800 with a 2 x converter on my crop sensor D5200, a little bit of editing but not cropped. 800 x 2 = 1600mm and allowance for crop sensor = 2400mm equivalent. Was amazed at what can be achieved with a basic setup.

Stretching a little for me in editing

Well it's different for sure, it certainly focuses the eye. Maybe a colour radial grad would look good, and it would look even better printed and mounted in a circular frame. Keep it well out of reach of the cat 😇

    Filter talk and creative improvising

Understand now, all i can suggest is a day with no wind but a bright day if possible. I use a 10 stop for seascapes with great flattening results at 1 to 2 min exposure times, still experimenting.

Great composition BF, try a longer exposure instead with the 32 might give you some nice cloud and turbine movement if that's what you are trying for.

    Upgrade to a Z

Heading,,,, Upgrade to a Z. After reading the many comments and problems with these new fangled things ( especially dust ) I'm sticking with my D5200 DX and D600 FX and my many AFS and AF glass, 24mp is more than enough for me. Just my opinion, it suits for my shooting style. As the old...

    Exif Metadata Tutorial

Until you turn the net on and then who knows what info is transferred in the background. Fire walls are great until someone cracks it. I don't use any such thing as I'm not that bothered about my picture data. What info are you trying to hide that is so important in your pictures.

    Exif Metadata Tutorial

It sort of makes sense but even using editing programs you have downloaded will be sending data to developers if your computer is connected to the Web. I don't really see the problem as photo data doesn't hold much personal data its your computer that's telling the world about you.

    Exif Metadata Tutorial

Hi, for the purpose of posting pictures on the forum i would strip the lot to something basic and add what you require later in the post, i do this with any pictures i post as I'm not always sure the data that is required is there in the first place. Not exactly what you want but it works for me.

    FX - DX confusion

Thanks for the reply BF, so as i understand it a 100mm FX lens on my DX camera will produce an image as if i had used a 150mm, and a DX 100mm would also produce an equivalent of a 150mm image due to the crop factor. If this is the case why bother with DX lenses in the first place and why call it...
