Here's a 50% crop with no PP besides Lightroom RAW conversion. It was dark enough in the hollow of the tree that I couldn't really see the baby owl with my eyes. The camera snapped into focus just fine. Plenty of noise, but what do you expect at 10,000? :)

This is just one example and NOT scientific or meant to be in ANY WAY be something people should make a complete judgement of the D7200's low light performance. I've only taken a very few shots with my new D7200, and I don't have the same shots taken with my D7100 for comparison. I just thought...

My D7100 has a brother, now. :)

UPS delivered this yesterday...

"My" baby owls are growing quickly. Dark and cold when I shot this. They are huddled for warmth. Warmer and brighter. The smallest of this group of three looking out on the world. The middle child. The oldest has left the nest, but is staying well hidden, so I couldn't get any pictures.

Great Horned Owlets keep growing! More in my personal thread. :)

No blue sky, the light is a little flat, and I don't care. This is one of my favorite pictures ever. :)
