I love Back Door Hippies pictures of ruins from a time long ago. Here is a link to some pictures from a Detroit high school blending old with present. Although the walls can't speak these pictures sure give a ghostly story telling of a better day long ago.

Day 60, 2013 - Topaz
Here in Utah we have a number of minerals due to the previous volcanic activity a long time ago. Here is a bunch of raw topaz and smoky topaz we collected a few years ago.
While not a great subject or setting, I do believe it shows great color and sharpness. White balance set with my Expodisc. Will add additional info when I can get access to it.
Day 58, 2013 - Pencils
It was an idea that I played with... didn't work as it did in my minds eye. Needed a higher aperture, but this journey is about learning. And we usually learn more from our failures.
Day 57, 2013 - Safari Big Cats
The third grade student are doing dioramas of their favorite animals. Some of the kids have done some really cool big cat projects. So here is my picture of the day of a big cat... in a little box.
Day 51, 2013 - We're So Small
It is so difficult to show how small we are next to the mountain and the trees. This shot seemed to really catch how tiny we are.
