Here's a 100% crop of an image I took today with the 16-35 on a D600.

yes, so much detail, today,, the excuses can't be put on the camera, but the photographer, and technique. Today's gear is able to create the details.

I now make more effort to give space around my compositions for up to 25% room for cropping, Enough pixels to play with the best crop.

Nice shots.

I might be looking to add a wide to my collection in the new year.
12-24mm f/4 (DX) or 16-35mm f/4 (FX) or at half the price a 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 (DX)

So much glass to buy, so little paper to buy it with :(

The 16-85 is one of the best Dx lenses ever made, was my favorite on the D5100 (although not a great bokeh lens). Extremely sharp and the extra width is great to.have.

Yeah, at f3.5-5.6 I guess you're not gonna get greak bokeh, but then if you're doing wide pics, bokeh probably isn't top of your list ;)

It will render my 18-55mm useless though, so hopefully be able to flog it off and get a few £s back for it ;)
