The Prairie Dogs in the area let out their alert calls, and this guy chirped a bit and headed for the safety of the burrow hole. I never saw what upset everyone, but suspect a coyote may have been passing through.

Male makes a superhero style landing right next to a little owlet. The owlet enjoyed munching on the beetle that dad brought.

Burrowing Owlets are running towards mom as she lands with food.

Coyotes don't have refrigerators. When they hunt and have extra food they cache it away in a secret spot. I watched this coyote go dig this out and chomp it down. Pretty gross looking to us humans, and I'm not sure what it was, but I'm sure it was a tasty treat for the Coyote.

"Hey, Mom! Gimme' that grasshopper, it's my favorite food item!"
