Nice photo @blackstar. One suggestion, I would have backed up a couple of feet to show a little more of the child.

Thank you for the suggestion, Fred. Actually, it was my intention to make only the child's head in the picture so as not to lose anyone's attention on her. But appreciate your kind word.

Been a long time since I played with off-camera flash in daylight, and this is my first time using HSS. My daughter was a good sport and humored dad this evening for some testing. I think I need a bigger modifier.

My first 'home studio' shoot. I just wish my model had worn something other than an all-black outfit.

No sure what you had to work with and of course this may not been what you were going for. I think if the image were white balance off say the white watch band and on a light blue background it would give it some pop. Blue to contrast her facial color and light to offset the black. White balancing off the white would have made the finger nails and watch band pop.
