Those of you in the southern US are probably used to seeing Wood Storks, but this bird is the first Wood Stork seen in Colorado in about 80 years. Fun to see here at the 40th parallel. I'm still sorting and processing, but these takeoff shots were fun to get.

If I could, I'd send you lots more!! They are bullies and take over every nesting island. If another bird has a nest with eggs, they wait until the eggs hatch and kill the hatchlings!! They left Wako now, but will be back in January.
