Thank you everyone! I'll pass your wishes on. It's funny how her red VW Golf was constantly noticed amongst a sea of silver SUVs in the parking lot. Over the years many asked, "Who drives that cute little red car?".

Nothing of artistic merit here, just a quick snapshot (so as to avoid a salesman ) of a 2022 VW Mk8 GTI SE in Moonstone Grey, especially for crashton. We're both VW GTI fans and with the global vehicle shortage, seeing an Mk8 anywhere is somewhat difficult.

The first car that I bought was a 1953 Chevy - 4 door sedan, straight 6 engine with 3 on the tree. I paid a whopping $50 for it in 1960. I was generously endowed with rust courtesy of winter's salted roads in New England. Yesterday, I saw this beauty at a car show - also a '53 albeit a 2 door model. It brought back fond memories of that rusty old car - it wasn't pretty but I was 16 years old and it was all mine. :unconscious:

Also found a real deal GT40. I might have some of the details confused, but the owner said that it was originally acquired by a company that bought Ford's inventory of GT40s, parts and drawings when Ford exited Le Mans racing. This car did not race at Le Mans (which by the way is this weekend). Such a beautiful machine.
