Was on the air this morning when I saw this little critter making his way across the windowsill to my left. At my next commercial break I had just enough time to grab my D5500 which already had the 40mm Micro attached, and snap a few before he scurried away. Didn't even have time to adjust the settings, including moving from jpeg to raw. Not very good shots at all admittedly, but he was really pretty! Too bad it was 2 days before the "Insects" weekly challenge started, lol....

How did you spot the insect? Took me a while to find it.

Yeah, it's hard to do thanks to its extreme color and pattern blend-in fashion. I had to crop it out to see it.
