Perhaps a little sepia might help. I might of taken it too far just a quick job, but I'm sure you will get the idea. You might want to change your date to a white font, back in the day that's what they did.

Oddly enough I actually had it like this at first but then changed my mind. I started thinking about all of the photos that I had seen and most of them were in Black and White. I like them both. As for the date - color change, I'll make note of that. That was an interesting detail to know. Thanks. :)

Hey Rick,

Thanks for sharing those examples. It was really helpful to see the font as well. I didn't really know what the font looked like at that time. Like you, I could have looked it up online for examples, I just didn't think about it. I think I spend so much time online with my school, believe it or not, I actually forget about the "other" things that could also be looked up.

Thanks,

Thanks,

From what I see, seems someone has just written over the old pictures. It sure looks like hand writing to me. So if you try to find that font, you might be in for a long long search. :)

LOL.. Maybe I should choose my words more carefully. Yes, I realize there were no "fonts" back then. I was more trying to say that I wasn't sure of what the wording would have looked like. I'm used to using modern day vocabulary. I was thinking "font" because in today's time you can usually find a "font" that imitates a certain look of any given time period. All in all, more research on "old photos" will be done next time. ;)

I like your flour mill photo. I have noticed, if you don't mind me saying, a bit of vignetting in your photos lately. While it certainly had its place, be careful not to go overboard, as with anything. :)

Hi Jen,

I was thinking the same thing. I guess I got lost in darkness. LOL Thank you for critiquing my work. It helps to keep me on the edge and keeps me doing better photography.

IceCold

Sorry for the delay in posting my pictures. It's been a crazy schedule with the new classes. I'm finally getting then off of my SD card.
This was taken at the car wash. It was huge but it's hard to see that in the picture. I noticed that I even caught a drop in action. How cool is that? :)

Friday was my fifth year anniversary with the love of my life. I thought using a picture of us was appropriate.

Day 42

Today we took the kids to a near by hill to have a little fun in the snow. I'm still trying to figure out how to make my snow pictures pop. They always turn out gloomy. It was actually so bright you could hardly see.
However, by the look at these pictures you'd think it was gloomy. I tried to mess with the brightness but not a lot helped. Any suggestions?
