I leading one at Presque Isle State Park Erie, Pennsylvania for any early birds that are nearby. This one is at Misery Bay by the Oliver Perry Monument just before sunrise.

Wish I could make it out there, but it'd be a 7 hour drive :)

Still toying with the idea of being a leader in name only for Oktoberfest in Bethlehem, PA. There's literally nothing in the area, so I'd be blunt and let folks know, "This isn't a walk, it's merely a chance to participate and possibly run into other people with cameras", but I'm not sure if that's truly in the spirit of the event.

That town is neat. Last time I was there I ran through it for a half marathon. Also, this: http://nikonites.com/blogs/jdeg/55-bethlehem-steel.html

I was on Wood Badge Staff (Boy Scout Adult leader Training) at Seven Mountains (Poe Valley State Park) Boy Scout Camp and I would get out of stuff on Sunday because I was the farthest away 4 Hour drive. So I under stand long drives. I was hoping others would do one in the afternoon and evening. Here is a sunset near Dobbins Landing (aka Public Dock) now some of you will have to review the War of 1812. Not taken with a Nikon but my first DSLR an Olympus E1.

To Backdoor Hippie,
Always like very wides and ultra wide angle images, excellent!! It is the spirit just getting together. I have done two previously and I would never enter anything I always enjoyed the company and comradeship of the event.

Nothing close by besides Princeton, folks. I'm committed to be with the wife and friends at Bethlehem Oktoberfest this year. Thought about leading and "non-led walk" which would essentially be an opportunity to for folks who wanted to participate in the event while also just going to Oktoberfest, but without any formal gathering, meeting each other, etc. (the wife's rules - "I don't want you to have to be somewhere at certain times", which are fair given what I'm making her miss this past weekend and next). Then I realized while that worked for me, it flies in the face of what the walk is really about - meeting others and shooting together. So, I'm out this year. Had a great time last year, but there's an absolute dearth of walks in our area this year.

What one are NJ and PA people signed up for this year? Last year was awesome in Princeton :)

Agreed! I haven't signed up - yet? If we can get a group together again - I'm in. What say you @hark, @BackdoorHippie - up for another get together?

Not sure I will make it this year, but there is one in Newtown, PA if I do decide to attend. John and Eduard, I hope you guys will find one--I am looking forward to seeing your photos! :)
