What I love about this cabin is that it was a real homestead where a family struggled to eke out an existence under tough circumstances. but to live where they lived, high on the Blue Ridge, must have been rewarding in it's own way._AAA2693 - Version 3 - 2014-05-28 at 11-35-38.jpg

This is an older picture from 2004, and was done with my Sony P&S rather than my Nikon, but still on of my favorites from a composition perspective...

This one was shot a couple of years ago with my D5100.
It is a panoramic stitch together of several shots. It is for my desktop background - covers three monitors 55"x11"
Almost bought this place some years ago - some days I wish I had.

Today I decided to be a 'photographer out standing in the field' - and got eaten alive by the skito's in the process.
Some old homesteads / barns on Highway 29 in northern Alberta east of Edmonton.
Still learning this HDR thing so be gentle.
Taken with my "new to me" Tamron 20-40 on my new D610. All hand held.
