Does an iPad air work well for downloading photos when traveling?
I'm extremely limited in knowledge and experience when it come to this topic. But thanks to Blacktop I have a laptop and I'm hoping to get a 2TG external hard drive by next month!
The laptop has only a small amount of ram memory, but so far it's working well for me for now!
Later(likely much later) I'll get a new laptop with much more ram memory, and maybe add a couple more external hard drives to what I have by then!![]()

Isnt there a limit to how much ram different windows versions will recognize
If the speed is fine with you, there is no point in spending money, then hang on to this laptop. Most of the laptops of at least two generations old are fast enough. If it is very slow that is another matter.
If the existing laptop can accommodate more RAM and you are happy with its speeds, then just add more RAM.
When getting external hard disks, get the 1TB USB3 versions. They are selling for around $100, and are the most VFM for the storage space.
I have Windows 7 32 bit and 10GB (2 4GB and 2 1GB) of RAM without any problems. I was astonished how much quicker my desktop ran when I went from 4-10 GB
I use to prefer desktops but not anymore, in fact I don't even own one now and haven't in a long time. I have a 15" Macbook Pro and a 11" Macbook Air. I use the Macbook Air more now due it be lighter for one thing. I don't sit at a desk much either because when I do, my right shoulder shakes uncontrollably so I tend to sit in my recliner.
