What are you drinking?

I have a friend that comes out in the fall and brings some of his that is "brewed in the shadow of the Cumberland mountains" aptly named "100% Whoop Ass" Goes down smooth and it will cure what ails you.

US proof is twice the ABV or percentage I'm sure. In Australia it's mainly Alcohol By Volume (ABV) that is used.

Btw, you should avoid ever drinking alcohol labeled 100%. In order to get alcohol above 90% you have to use chemicals like benzene and heavier alcohols, all of which are left behind in small amounts.

Thats true. The highest refined pure is 195 proof. Nasty stuff straight.Trust me. We use it where I work.

Pure alcohol has an abv of 100% or 175 Proof.
I have a number of whiskies that are over 60%abv and they are very approachable drinking neat because of the quality of the product. It's cheap s--t no matter what abv/proof that'll make you suffer.

Na, Akvavit is off course not pure alcohol that way, if we are talking %'s . I should maybe not have used the word "pure" when I described it. Some like it alot and others really don't like it! Mostly we are only drinking it if we eat some fish or something like that...depends. We also use to fill a normal size coffee cup with 2 deciliter akvavit and black coffee and 2 teaspoon sugar (sugar is not needed, but gives the alcohol a bit more power).

Cold hard rain, fireplace aglow, Christmas tree sparkling bright, Army/Navy football game on TV and hot coffee. Perfect!

Big pot of homemade ham and split pea soup, a pint of Telegraph California Brown Ale, and Nothing But the Blues on the radio.

These Aussies are hard core starting so early on a Sunday.

i think I will be into the Appletons Rum later tonight after a few beers (boring Heineken) to bring the core body temp down first.

To answer the original question -- LOTS -- with my body back at Nikon and no snaps until the end of the month (fingers crossed).
