Hello From Alabama

Started photography as a hobby about 35 years ago. Built a darkroom and learned all about the tech end of photos. Learned how to do color at home. Big deal back then. One hour photo started up and I became the manager of the 2nd lab in Alabama. Went from there to managing over 100 labs in the south and then owning two labs for myself. Got burned out shooting and stopped shooting at all and sold the labs. Just now figuring out that I need the creative outlet. The Nikon D3100 and Photoshop CS5 are keeping me busy playing again. Seeing the pictures in this forum are getting me excited again about photography like I was 35 years ago.

Hi tracsoft, and welcome to the Nikonites Community. As Jack says a lot of us here started out in photography a long time ago processing our own shots. Digital, DSLR cameras and computers have made hugh changes and probably will continue to do so in the future. I think you will enjoy this site and talking photography. A very knowledgable and friendly group you won't find any where else. Join us often and enjoy.

Spent the day in Tuscaloosa and shot many photographs. Sad to see my home town destroyed. Have a couple of shots I will probably share here.
