Thanks Pat and Mike.

The D5100 is a great camera. I want to use the D7100, but I only have 10 days left on my original warranty and with all the problems this last month, I want to make sure the 5100 working properly.

I have a wonderful friend who sends me emails with collections of fabulous photos, some that seem to have been around for quite awhile and not all with copyright or photographer info (unfortunately). . . this one seems appropriate to share here.

Don't think I'd get that close to a gator and I can't believe his folks let him get that close.

Chris did get close to a gator nest (within 3 ft) last year and momma did open wide and hiss at him, but she stayed in the canal.

I am with you... doubt I would get that close but surely would not let my kids!!

Yesterdays bike ride took us past a nursery that has been closed for many years. On Thursday a sign went up announcing senior living coming soon. Apparently some one opened the gate, so we ventured a little ways in. We came upon this beautiful Royal Poinciana. My photos don't do it justice. This is on the boundary line with the community next door, so hopefully it won't get destroyed when they start building. Also, I hope they save and replant the rest of the palms and other assorted foliage on the property.

Yesterday our day began real early. Chris couldn't sleep so at 5:30am we pedaled over to IHOP for breakfast. We hadn't seen Toni in about 8 months.

BTW, don't order the tiramisu pancakes for breakfast. Way to sweet. They were delicious, but they make a better dessert.
