Things you own (besides camera gear) that your spouse doesn't get

I wouldn't recommend it. You won't get an accurate representation of what is most common these days. More commonly, it's more of a "live-action wargame" than a role play, with more of an emphasis on fighting. There are, of course, light touch and no touch LARP groups, but they are few and far between. LARP has become more of a sport now, with companies even going as far as to make performance gear.

Examples for AC016:

Ahh, I see. I have seen folks dressed up like that over here. They do get some strange looks from folks though. I saw them in the park once, but they were not that aggressive with each other.

Yeah, you'll see all types, really. There are lots of games where the lightest of hits count, but most of them are small games with not that many players. There are many large games at this point which require a person to use full-force, as if you were using a real weapon and were intending to harm the person. And anybody out dressed in anything that's "not normal" will get weird looks. For me, it's not a big deal, I already have blue hair. Ha!

With my first wife it was Cars. I had 12 at one point ranging from Show to won't even go. They were all Studebakers. At one point she said either the cars go or I do. Hince the term First wife. Wife number 2 is pretty good about everything. The number of guns and even more about the amount of Ammo I tend to have on hand. She is great about my cameras but I am very good about talking to her first about new purchases.

So a lot of people like to call me "Tim the Tool Man". Of course when something needs fixed either at our home or one of the kids it's always "you have a tool for that don't you?" Some of the neighbors do the same thing to me. I always tell people I only have one of each tool. One 14 volt drill, one 18.5 volt drill, one hammer drill, one corded drill, one drill press......you get the idea! And if they make it with a gas motor that only counts as one as well.

I think my husband and I must be strange. He has 5000 plus CDs and all my friends always ask me how I can stand it. Stand what? I have hundreds of gigs of music ripped on my laptop, it's awesome! He also has thousands of baseball cards. I like going through the before we got to games. Braves games offer alumni Sunday autograph sessions and I always want to be sure we have any potential signers with us when we go! My collections are easy, but they're also music related. I have two clarinets and a tenor sax, the expensive part are my mouthpieces and reeds that I seem to go through like crazy. My camera is a new thing and I only have one with two lenses. When I finally decide to tell him that I want to buy a macro lens and a tripod soon he might get a little annoyed, but then again he's getting ready to spend a ton of money on Knights of Columbus regalia so be can't complain too loudly!

Golf clubs, I have at least 6 different complete sets of Cleveland golf clubs, back at my parents home in the basement. Plus my working set that's here with me. Every year since I turned pro (2006) Cleveland (my club and ball sponser) would bring me out to their headquarters in Huntington Beach, California and have me re-fitted for their latest greatest offering.

I'm the kinda guy who likes to do things myself. I'm a tool nut. I own a full woodworking shop full of equipment to do just about anything you can think of. I also do alot of metal fabrication. So I have mig welders, cut off saws, machine lathe, presses. If something is broke or I need to make something. No problem. Photography is trully my passion. Its differant than all the other hobby's or interests. I'd like to do it full time but I really don't want to do weddings. My weekends are my time and don't like to be tied down and commited to something. And weddings are on the weekends.

I collect grandkids. It's certainly a time consuming hobby and not necessarily for everyone but I find it most enjoyable. Right now I'm up to 2, a boy and a girl, but I suspect my youngest son may be planning on giving me another one sometime near Christmas. I'll try not to spoil his surprise. :D

Pistols.

Fly fishing gear. (Really just any old feather WON'T do. And yes certain hooks are used for certain flies. And no she can't use my thread when she runs out. And yes I do need a travel and a stay at home vise.)

My second hobby is cooking. I love to buy herbs so much. Everywhere I go I look up for something I can use and of course I am looking for some cooking-tools. I never throw away old ones cos I think they can be used for something else. Like an old wooden spoon - my wife uses it for a stick in the flowerpot.

I don't own any cooking-books cos I think cooking is as same as photography - Listen to your heart - let it go through your soul and share with family and friends. Beautiful or yummy is not the question. You can not please everyone but those you appreciate and you get the right taste.

Ah, but some times my own chickens have worked quite well. I have had to wait for them to go into a permanent sleep to have the feathers. Also I have managed to find just the right floss or yarn among my wife's sewing things.
