Time for the snappers to lay their eggs, I always try to avoid them when they are doing that but this one was right in the only path back to my truck. So she was getting her picture taken :cool:

I would say the tide went out but this is the canal, there is no tide!

Sure! I have also had a pygmy rattler, timber rattler, eastern diamondback and a copperhead as pets as well in addition to a host of non-venomous ones I have either caught or purchased. I guess I am "crazy snake man". I have done my part to keep the planet's rodent population down. No telling how many mice or rats became meals for my snakes over the years.

I have also had some green iguanas, one of which grew to about 2 1/2 feet from nose to tail tip before it finally died. They are not cute or cudly pets like our cats or dog but they do make some really cool pets.

Found this guy in the wrong place. Left feet in for size of turtle.

Wow! I've never seen one on land. They say that males never come on land and females only do so, in effort of laying eggs.
