I downloaded Gimp but find the user manual pretty useless (or maybe it is my brain that is useless these days :) ). I'm persevering with it tho because I can see that it is really quite good.
Thought I'd share my dogs Ella and Lucy. Both rescues/rehomes. The Malshi I've had for just over 12 months and the terrier mix just over 6 months. Adjustments to new homes & people has taken them time. The little brown dog is still clinging like velcro but every day a little less so. Both very cute.
Rehashing this thread coz since Adobe hiked up the cost of their photography plan but over 100%, I can no longer afford it. So... what to use? So far everything I've looked at seems so foreign that I struggle. Is there an idiots editor? or at least something that has a user guide written for...
I discovered a pair of Weebills, Australia's smallest bird, nesting in a tree I walk past every day. It was a great opportunity to get a few photos. I'd never seen one before. They've since had their young fly the nest and now I only see them at distance.
OMG... look how long it is since I last dropped in. The whole covid thing knocked me for 6... couldn't go out and take photos. Had to resort to photos at home. Then we moved interstate and I hadn't really picked my camera up for nearly 2 yrs. I'm back looking for birds to photograph.

I try to name my files with some indicator of year.
Last year I prefixed my files with 019
This year with 020.
I have surpassed the number of files it seems, so the same numbers are being re-used. I want to change the prefix again to 20B, so I can still see they are 2020. My camera will not let...
