Awesome @Blacktop u is gonna love it! I bought a generic hood on line, might have been Adorama maybe eBay can't remember. With many long lenses the hood is essential. I have found this one not so much. My generic hood falls off a lot......many times I am retracing my steps to pick it up off...

Yep I was a huge lens snob....both in my A mount gear and Nikon gear modes..... Now I found most of my casual walkaround pics are shot with a beat up ol' D300 and my pair of stellar Nikkor DX VR kit lenses. This article confirmed that perhaps I am not nuts in my anti snobbery! Thoughts and...

Reminds me how blessed I am to own a mint Nikon D700! Perhaps with practice I can approach the talent of our @Marcel - look at this bokeh and focus!! Nice! In good hands the D700 slays any subject still!

How about a nice mint D4 instead? IMHO your glass would be very happy. Or check out the work @Marcel does with the D4 sensor dF! I have zero interest in 36mp.
