    Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 vs 18-35mm f3.5-4.5G

Yeah, I understand that wide-angle lenses have evolved massively in the last years and certainly the the 17-35mm is just outdated although still usable with cameras of its times, as you suggested.

    Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 vs 18-35mm f3.5-4.5G

I was kind of shocked at how badly this lens performed on DxoMark. I saw the angry photographer also say terrible things about it. But I read other online reviews on DPreview and Kenrockwell and it was mainly good. That's why I thought I might get some opinions here. I certainly can't afford the...

    Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 vs 18-35mm f3.5-4.5G

Hello, I’ve looking to buy a wide angle lens. One of the options is the 17-35mm f/2.8 but looking at the specs at DXoMark I was stunned by how poorly it performed on over all sharpness and specially the chromatic aberration. Can anyone confirm that? The 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G performed so much...

    Dumb question

Under normal circumstances yes, I would buy the cable. But it would take a couple of days (I live in Europe) and I sadly need it quite urgently. sadly.

    Dumb question

Hello, I own a Coolpix S3300 bought in 2012. I have many the nubie mistake of taking some very important photos without the SD card loaded. By default, the photos are in the camera's memory. However, I no longer have the USB cable to transfer them to my PC. I was wondering if there is a way to...

Fx camera on Dx mode to shoot wild life?

Another advantage would be that all the focus points cover almost all the DX cropped area.

Fx camera on Dx mode to shoot wild life?

I guess the only benefit of using DX mode would be to increase your FPS and buffer if needed, because it does reduce file size.

Fx camera on Dx mode to shoot wild life?

It seems the D500 was conceived for the specific purpose for wildlife photography and the D850 seems to be good at everything. I will look into both, but for now I think they are out of my budget.

Fx camera on Dx mode to shoot wild life?

It's not about using DS lenses on a FX cameras, I don't own any DX lenses. My questions was more towards the second point you made, i.e. to use in full size and crop later or shoot in DX, already cropped. I guess if the buffer is an issue (one needs to shoot for longer) shooting in DX might...

    D7200 faster FPS

Answering my own question here at the beginning, the D7200 vertical grip MB-D15 is not compatible with high capacity rechargeable batteries such as the EN-EL4a or the newer EN-EL18a/b/c/d. For reference, https://www.nikonimgsupport.com/eu/BV_article?articleNo=000006339&configured=1&lang=en_GB

Fx camera on Dx mode to shoot wild life?

Although I do appreciate that mirrorless are vastly superior to DSLR's I'm not ready to make the leap. Frankly it would require me to change all my lenses, since I I have no AF-S lenses. All my leses are AF-D lenses, and they are sharp enough for me. I think the DSLR's are suitable for the...
