I loved my Nikon 1's! They were great. FWIW My Fuji X-E5 with the XC 13-33mm (19.5-49.5mm FF equivalent) is only 74 grams heavier than my old Nikon 1 V3 and the 10-33mm lens! Both are great every day carry kits.

I was talking to a friend a couple days ago who travels frequently. She was complaining about her inability to make large prints from her phone images. It was a good reminder of why we do what we do.

That's a really good comparison and perspective. I remember having related discussions back in the early mirrorless days with @Marcel and @crashton (and others) about the attraction of the more analog controls of cameras like the Zf and Fuji's. IMO I think that is half of the point this video...

One more even older image. The improvement in noise reduction over the years has been amazing. This is a 20 year old capture using a D70s and a Nikkor 50mm/1.8D. Just wished I had used a faster shutter speed to reduce the boat blur.

Snowbird Plus? Laurie's two best friends that she grew up with as immediate neighbors live full-time in Merritt Island. Post COVID, Laurie was able to work remotely. We've worked from Cocoa Beach multiple times for up to 1-2 months.
