Just some of my images in Black and white including my trip to Japan in Feb/March 2026 I was mostly in the Chiba Prefecture on the Eastern side of Tokyo The first Photo is in the town of Narita, Chiba on the way down to Narita-san Buddhist Temple

Going on the walk to straight and narrow. Z5ii with 24-200 f4-6.3 lens 25.5mm, f4.2, 1/400 sec, ISO 100

I highly recommend the 24-200 f4-f6.3 zoom lens, it's quite sharp enough and can also give you good night shots providing there's enough street lighting around. It's a great travel lens, I recently took this lens on my Z5ii to Japan and while I also had my 50mm f1.8S lens too, I rarely used it...

Nikonbill, that was a miracle shot actually, I was out there last Winter, I not long had the Z5ii and I had bought a 40mm f2 lens for night work and so I went out to the bridge and it was pitch dark at 9pm, no moonlight, nothing.....I couldn't even see the bridge with my own eyes so I didn't...

Just a few night shots after a night camera walk last year when I just bought the new Nikon Z5ii. All of these shots were taken with a 24-200mm f4-6.3 lens Except for 1 & 2 which was shot with a Nikon 40mm f2 lens. 1/ Hume Dam letting water into the Murray river 2/ Night shot Bethanga bridge...

It's very possible I guess as i can't see any coal piled up but i can no longer ask because they are no longer here with us......

My Father, his older brother and their father were all Train Drivers here in NSW Australia when the State Government used to run the Freight and regional Passenger services. My Grandfather born in 1889 and died 1964 aged 74 retired from his shift as a Train Driver sometime between 1953 and 1957...
