Getting to grips with my new (to me) D500 and 500 pf. A challenging subject (Common Tern) - fast moving, high contrast on a windy and sunny day. Whittle Dean Reservoir, Northumberland, England, today. Experimented with different focus modes assigned to buttons on the back - found group worked well to get a focus, bird was moving rather to quickly to use the dynamic area, although it worked sometimes. Shutter speed around 1/3200 ( went up to 1/4000 for some) - aperture f/5.6, but played with f/6.3. Left VR on sport mode. The fish is a Perch I believe.
