Key times in Palm Beach County

Key Eclipse Times in Florida (Eastern Standard Time)​

  • Penumbral eclipse begins: 3:44 a.m.
  • Partial eclipse begins: 4:50 a.m.
  • Totality begins (Moon turns deep red): 6:04 a.m.
  • Maximum eclipse: Around 6:30–6:33 a.m. depending on location (e.g., Tampa at 6:33 a.m.)
  • Totality ends: 7:03 a.m. (though the Moon will be setting and may be below the horizon in many parts of Florida)
For Palm Beach County—including Delray Beach—the best viewing window is 3:44 a.m. to about 6:30 a.m., before the Moon gets too low on the western horizon.

I'll have to get up a half hour or so earlier than usual. It's supposed to be cloudy, here, though. I guess we'll see. :)
