I like the free storage of Nikon Image Space but I can't find a way to allow posting a stored photo on other websites, such as Facebook or other forums. I can share the link to allow anyone to go to the website to view the photo, but I want to imbed the photo in a Facebook thread, for instance. What am I missing?? Suggestions?? Thanks.

You can always download it to your computer then post it. A little cumbersome, but easily doable.
I keep all my backups on either external hard drives, or thumb drives. I have an aversion to online storage. Other folks don't have an issue with online storage.

You're not missing anything, sharing an image online to a forum is not possible.
Here at Nikonites, I mostly upload the image from my PC when I can, as then the EXIF data can be read. But otherwise I also use Imgur.com as a free online photo host. But for showing off photos to friends and family I will still just link to a Nikon Image Space album.
