Buying up your competition is a surefire way of success, lol. I think Google is getting a little to big for it's britches.

They sucked up picnic and ruined it, tried to incorporate it into the picasa, FAIL I hope that they don't do the same with Nik software.

Yeah, i hear you. However, i think with Googles bottomless pockets, they don't care what happens to these small companies that they buy, as long as they are out of the way. Just because they buy the company, does not mean they will or need to keep it alive.

Y'all seem to have missed a tiny point. Somebody had to SELL Nik before Google could buy it.

Y'all seem to be thinking that Google is this big bad old company running around crushing the competition.

Google bought Nik, not stole it. What they do with it is entirely up to them. I may not like it, but it is their money.

Ever heard of hostile takeovers?? Further, everything is for sale for a price. It's business and there does not necessarily need to be a for sale sign in front of the company.
