Hummingbird in the backyard. It's cold so it comes quite often to get it's sugared water.

Last night's catch.

D72_7019.jpg

I was caught completely off guard when this one flew almost straight toward me. I find it difficult to use the 200-500 with VR because a lot of time between the time I press the shutter and it opens, the framing is sometimes so different that some pictures can't be used.

This morning I felt lazy so I used SOOC jpegs, well almost since I did crop a few through LR.

Even though they are sooc jpegs, they are great, Marcel! I've used them myself when the blacks are clipped so much that I cannot adjust it with the NEF's. Sometimes the sooc jpegs are just easier to deal with.

Here's a shot I did last month. Actually 5 shots while I got closer to the flower that I blended in Photoshop to do focus stack. I actually didn't even plan to do the focus stacking until after I saw the images. I like the effect.

Waxwings sometimes have problems getting the flower petals to get in their mouth. They stick to their beak.

A hole was made in my roof to install a gable window. Roof insulation is also in progress...
